Changing your BodySong will help you achieve health, happiness and longevity. A positive BodySong is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, your immune system, and others around you.
When it comes to building a healthy BodySong, remember that how we feel about our lives has a lot to do with the story we tell ourselves, which is based upon the story our culture tells us, about how we should and shouldn't be; how we should look, act and generally show up in the world.
One of the greatest activities to change your BodySong is to remember that you are a Sacred Being. This has nothing to do with the size of your hips or thighs, how many friends or followers you have on a social network, what car you drive or where you live. This has nothing to do with you being 'better than' anyone else.... it's a quiet knowledge that you are unique and made to fulfil a purpose. It has a lot to do with the size of your spirit, how often you follow your heart and the vibratory level that resides in and drives your BodySong.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate,
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves,
“Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?”
Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightening about shrinking so that
Other people won’t feel insecure around you.
(And, I’d like to add: Be all you are purposed to be: let the world see it and benefit from it.)
The activities to built self-esteem turn out to be an internal job. That's why one of the ways to improve your self esteem is to undergo a mental makeover. One of the activities to improve self esteem that I've used extensively with clients is the the 'Act as if' principle.... or 'fake it til you make it'. This entails asking yourself and then visualizing the answers to: "How would I act if I could always remember that I'm an amazing wondering being exactly as I am"
Mentally rehearse this way of building self esteem, then rehearse it in front of a mirror as you rearrange your body to reflect this because when you do, you're sending a powerful signal to your cells that enhances your health and 'Act as if it's true.' And start dressing and walking and talking 'as if' you already are that amazing person. You'll literally be creating new neural networks and creating better health. One of pioneers in showing how our brains literally change when visualizing was Dr. Alvaro Pascual-Leone who found that regardless of whether people actually practiced the piano or whether they merely visualized it, their brains changed in the same way (1).
One Harvard study on aging, found that simply 'acting as if' and thus signaling their biology that they were 20 years younger for one week, participants looked and felt younger, and their biological age markers like blood pressure, skin thickness and mental acuity had all improved. (2)
